This year’s opening ceremony will emphasize an international feel. Various forms will be used to demonstrate the accomplishments made by Chinese enterprises over the years and create an animated and joyful atmosphere. Some of the country’s best cartoon authors and their works will be highlighted at the ceremonies.

      Featuring exotic cartoon elements and encouraging the breaking of all cultural differences, the festivity is a platform to show the accomplishments of China’s cartoon and animation industry. All participants will be ensured the maximum joy of animation.

      Initiated in July 2008, Cool Mind Fair has hosted seven activities and has become an important platform for the cartoon fans of Hangzhou to share ideas and for cartoon enterprises to show their products. During this year’s CICAF, it will be held and highlighted at the Leisure Expo Garden to show to all visitors the grass root achievements in the city’s cartoon and animation sector. The content will include products exhibition and sales, cartoon celebrities presenting autography, graffitists’ performances, etc. Interactivity and high quality will be the two most important features of this year’s Cool Mind Fair.

      The show has been held five times in a row in various venues across the country. Held in Hangzhou, the final will be attended by a selection of COSPLAY troupes and guests from Britain, US, France, German, Japan and South Korea. It has become a super festival for all cartoon fans around China.

      As an art form popular not only with young people but also with people of the other age ranges, the competition is designed to promote publicity of caricature among youths and encourage exchange and mutual benefits. The China International Juvenile Caricature Competition invites participants from all over the world to sent innovative works that incorporate various elements of their life and thoughts.

      Celebrities in the cartoon and animation industry from all over the world will be invited to the venue to present autography to their fans and provide an opportunity for visitors to feel closer to their idols.

      A selection of cartoon works will be screened at major cinemas in Hangzhou to show the colorful aspects of cartoon and animation and constructive notions about the industry. Some film directors will be at the venue to show their latest works and meet their fans.
